Lupus
Lupus is an autoimmune disease in which the patient’s antibodies attack its own healthy tissue, instead of protecting against foreign germs and harmful bacteria; hence arthritis coupled with lupus is called lupus arthritis. Major swelling of the joints is only seen in about 40% of lupus sufferers. More prone joints are fingers, ankles, wrists, knees, shoulders and elbows. Lupus arthritis doesn't affect the spine or neck. The joint pain comes and goes, with morning time being the most painful.
